Our 3rd grader experienced a traumatic event that left her struggling with anxiety in every part of her life. As parents, it was heartbreaking to watch our child become paralyzed by fears, even in the activities she once loved. We tried traditional counseling, but for her, nothing improved — the anxiety only grew, and she began to see threats everywhere.
I met Jayme by chance, and she began sharing ideas that gave me hope. Eventually, she started working directly with our daughter. Like any problem, once you understand the cause, you can begin to fix it — and that’s exactly what Jayme did. She helped our child understand, in language she could grasp, what was happening physically in her body to cause the anxiety. Our daughter loved learning this and became so excited that she started teaching friends and family about how the mind and body work. That sense of understanding gave her confidence and empowerment.
With that foundation, Jayme provided our daughter — and us as parents — with practical strategies to overcome the anxiety. The change was immediate, and it felt like our prayers were answered. We are so grateful for Jayme’s skills, knowledge, and kindness.
My teenage daughter suffered several traumatic events during her younger years. In high school, she experienced bullying. As a result of all these experiences, she became very withdrawn and has developed extreme anxiety.
In our initial coaching session, Jayme helped us both to first identify what anxiety is. Then we examined how it is manifested into our lives both mentally and physically.
Because Jayme has experienced anxiety issues first hand, she is well equipped with the empathy, desire, and understanding necessary to help others through this complex emotion. Her education, qualifications, and experience in this field are second to none. She has developed winning strategies and techniques to understand and cope with anxiety. With her approachability and genuine kindness, she is able to put her clients at ease, and navigate them towards learning positive ways to deal with anxiety.
We are very excited to continue our coaching sessions and learn more on our journey to reducing the effects of anxiety in our day to day lives!
